Biografía:
Lyle Lovett nacio el dia 1 de Noviembre de 1957. Hijo de un ejecutivo de marketing y de una entrenadora deportiva, se educó en la universidad A&M de Texas, donde estudió periodismo y lengua alemana. Su carrera en la música comenzó como compositor, y en 1986 firmó con MCA Records para grabar su primer álbum homónimo 'Lyle Lovett'. Aunque normalmente asociado al género country, sus composiciones incorporan a menudo elementos del folk, swing, blues, jazz y gospel, así como el más puro y tradicional country & western.

Lyle performed this (among other gems) on "Austin City Limits" on a
songwriters special with Willie Nelson and Rodney Crowell. I don't
know if this is even the name, or if it is on one of his records.
Notes: The first five verses use the same chord patterns. The last two
verses uses the same chord patterns (as indicated in the next-
to-last verse. In the chorus, the last line is simply holding
the same chord form (D7), start at the 4th fret, and move up a
fret at a time four frets. In the 6th verse, a similar move is
made going from A7/6 up to B7/6.
