El origen de la banda se remontan a los esfuerzos de Chad Fischer, de gira con la Escuela de Pesca a finales de 1980 y principios de los 90 como baterista. Después de un desacuerdo y se caiga con un productor, Fischer se fue en solitario y comenzó a escribir su propio material.
