Ladyhawke es el apodo de la Neozelandesa Pip Brown. Tras pasar por distintos grupos en Sydney, Pip decidió basar su residencia en Londres.
Obsesionada con la música desde pequeña y con ella en la sangre (su padre toca la batería y su madre es cantante), sus influencias provienen de la música de los 70 y los 80. Desde Stevie Nicks a Joan Jett, Nirvana a Hole , pasando por Van Halen y Deep Purple más la frescura e inocencia de Bananarama.
