Biografía:
En 1977, Robben Ford monta un grupo de músicos de sesión veteranos para grabar su álbum "The Inside Story". El trío de músicos, que incluye a Russell Ferrante como teclista, al bajista Jimmy Haslip y al batería Ricky Lawson, pronto descubre una cierta "química" y su afinidad musical conduce a la formación de Yellowjackets. Su discográfica pretendíó que Ford grabase un primer álbum orientado más al pop vocal. De hecho, los músicos, conocidos como The Robben Ford Group
