Woodpigeon

Biografía:

Woodpigeon are a Canadian musical collective from Calgary, Alberta. The band's sound has been compared to Sufjan Stevens, Grizzly Bear, Camera Obscura, Simon & Garfunkel, and Belle & Sebastian, amongst others. Band leader Mark Hamilton's main lyrical influence is The Kinks. When asked about the band's name, Mark Hamilton explains: "I've always been in love with the word Woodpigeon for as long as I can remember. When you write it in cursive, it looks like a rollercoaster".

Songbook/The Sound of Us Playing Together

By Request this is an acoustic version of the wonderful Woodpigeon Song "Songbook/The
Sound of Us Playing Together".
This version can be found at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQE6VkplrIY&feature=feedwll

Okay this one is a special request from "bergasa" on Youtube.
This tab/chord sheet is exclusive to an intimate solo performance
of the song. The video is titled "Woodpigeon - Songbook / The Sound Of Us Playing
Together / THEY SHOOT MUSIC"
and the link is provided above.

Note: All chords and names are subject and relative to the capo.
There are some extremely peculiar chord shapes used in the intro
and it was not easy to choose how they should be named.
Notably the "B" could technically be a middle section of a G Maj.
I chose to label it as B because the way it is played the lowest
note is a B.

Notes for playing the song: I tried to place the chords on the lyric sheet
as accurately as possible. The lyric rhythm is not the same throughout and
so you should pay special attention to the words.
Make sure to note the difference between the D/F# chord and the G/F# chord
and how and when they are used respectively.

Have fun and I will answer all questions posed on the comments or to my email.
