Biografía:
Michael Trent Reznor nació en Mercer, Pennsylvania, el 17 de Mayo de 1965. Hijo de Michael Reznor y Nancy Clark, Reznor fue llamado por su segundo nombre para evitar confusión con su padre. A la edad de cinco años, sus padres se divorciaron, y él fue enviado a vivir con sus abuelos maternos en Mercer. Su hermana Tera, nacida en 1971, permaneció con su madre.
Reznor comenzó a tocar el piano a los cinco años y mostró una temprana aptitud para la música.
