Thomas Stoneman es un chico neozelandes de 18 años que lanza su música bajo el nombre de Thomston (Thom de Thomas y Ston de Stoneman) con un estilo R&B y pop mezclado con electrónica minimalista que le ha valido varias comparaciones con su compatriota menor de edad Lorde. Thomston, que se declara fan de Lorde lleva en su música tintes similares pero Thom tiene una voz más masculina, marcada y que mostró en su primer EP de 5 canciones 'School
