Thomas Dolby (14 de octubre de 1958-) cuyo verdadero nombre es Thomas Morgan Robertson es un músico, productor e inventor inglés.
Thomas no nació en El Cairo, Egipto como aseguraba una biografía emitida por la discográfica EMI, sino en Londres, Inglaterra. Su padre era un catedrático de arte griego clásico y arqueología en la Universidad de Londres y en la Universidad de Oxford. El sobrenombre "Dolby" viene de los Laboratorios Dolby y se lo pusieron sus amigos impresionados con sus habilidades en el estudio de grabación.
