The Protomen es una banda de Rock procedente de Nashville, Tennessee, EEUU, mejor conocida por componer Operas Rock originales basadas en la popular saga de videojuegos Megaman.
Debido a la insistencia de los miembros en utilizar disfraces y nombres en código, incluso cuando se trata de una entrevista, The Protoman continúan siendo una entidad misteriosa dentro de la escena de la música de videojuegos.
Sus disfraces y comportamiento general en el escenario han sido frecuentemente comparados con el dúo Francés Daft Punk.
