Biografía:
The Heptones se formaron en Kingston el 1965. Los integrantes eran Leroy Sibbles, Barry Llewellyn y Earl Morgan. Las cosas se animaron en 1966, cuando el grupo se añadió al Studio One de Clement "Coxsone" Dodd, el estudio del rocksteady.
El primer hit de The Heptones fue "Fattie Fattie" que durante un tiempo estuvo prohibida en las radios jamaicanas. Su primer LP lo grabaron en 1967 con el nombre "Heptones". Al mismo año grabaron "Black is black" y en 1968 "On Top".
