Biografía:
The Grifters fue una banda de indie rock de Memphis, Estados Unidos. Se formaron originalmente a finales de los 80 con el nombre de A Band Called Bud, con el vocalista/guitarrista Scott Taylor, el bajista Tripp Lamkins y el batería Dave Shouse. Luego de ser renombrados en 1990 como The Grifters (por la novela de Jim Thompson) Shouse se unió a Taylor en la guitarra y Stanley Gallimore se hizo cargo de la batería. El músico Jeff Buckley era fan y amigo cercano de la banda. Se separaron en el año 2001.
