Biografía:
Fue una banda de folk rock de Inglaterra en los años 80s formado por el guitarrista Nick Laird-Clowes, Kate St John multi-instrumentista (principalmente oboe y trompetista) y el teclista Gabriel Gilbert.
Su idea era crear música diferente a la de los grupos populares del Reino Unido, mezclando los instrumentos y sonidos que no se habían hecho destacar antes, como cuerdas, vientos, percusión (timbales), y los sintetizadores.
Los tres miembros de la banda siguen siendo grabando música, cada uno con su carrera profesional propia.
