Biografía:
Teddy Pendergrass fue el vocalista de uno de los grupos mas importante del Philly Sound, Harold Mevin & Blue Notes, el que integró desde 1972 hasta 1976. Debutó como solista con este lp, digno sucesor del soul sensual que patentó Marvin Gaye en "Let's Get In On". La relación entre Pendergrass y Gaye no se acotó solo a lo musical, ya que ambos fueron grandes amigos, hasta que en 1979, Janis Hunter, la segunda mujer de Gaye y madre de Nona y Frankie, abandonó a su marido para irse a vivir junto a Teddy.
