Biografía:
Precursores del Emo de la segunda generación (véase antes Embrace, Rites of Spring, Fugazi...) formados en 1992 en Seattle, Washington , por Dan Hoerner y Nate Mendel (compañeros de piso), William Goldsmith (invitado tras verle actuar Dan y Nate) y Jeremy Enigk, amigo de William desde el instituto.
En 1994 graban su primer disco; "Diary" (Sub-Pop), donde destacan los temas "Seven" e "In Circles" que seguramente sean unas de las composiciones mas influyentes para muchos.
