Rushton nacio en Frimley Park Hospital en Surrey, Inglaterra. Rushton ingreso al negociio de la musica por ayuda de su padrastro quien solia ponerlo en escena desde la corta edad de 7 años, desde entonces, steve y su musica han sido inseparables.
