Stephen Phillip Jones (Londres, Inglaterra, 3 de septiembre de 1955), mejor conocido como Steve Jones, es un guitarrista británico reconocido mundialmente por ser co-fundador de Sex Pistols.
Steve Jones nació en Sheperd's Bush, Londres. Steve ha afirmado que su estilo de tocar la guitarra proviene de Johnny Thunders, de los New York Dolls y que sus primeras influencias fueron iconos del Glam rock como David Bowie. Era hijo único y su padre, boxeador amateur abandonó a su familia cuando Jones tenía dos años.
