Sonny Landreth es un virtuoso de la guitarra de blues, Nació el primero de Febrero de 1951; en Canton, Mississippi. Poco después, su familia se mudó a Jackson, Mississippi, antes de asentarse en Lafayette, Louisiana. Cuando este maestro no está de gira y presentándose, está en su residencia en Breaux Bridge, una ciudad en St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, Estados Unidos; una comunidad que se conoce como la "Crawfish Capital of the World".
