Sinead Lohan

Diving To Be Deeper

by Sinead Lohan
Sinead Lohan

Biografía:

Folksinger and songwriter Sinéad Lohan debuted in early 1995 with the album Who Do You Think I Am, scoring several major hits in her native Ireland with singles including "Sailing By" and the Bob Dylan cover "To Ramona."

After touring the UK in support of avowed fan Joan Baez, Lohan travelled to New Orleans to collaborate with producer Malcolm Burn; the resulting LP, No Mermaid, made the subject of an intense American major label bidding war, with the victorious Interscope issuing the record in mid-1998.

[INTRO]
A

[VERSE 1]
A
Her majesty was so fine he almost thought that she was real
Dmaj7
But she's divine
A
He thought she was caught up in a web
Dmaj7
But she's the tangle
A
And as she went flying through the air
Dmaj7
He caught on by her ankle
A
Her attitude is all right she's mainly on the up
Dmaj7
But she tends to lie
A
He thought she was swimming against the tide
Dmaj7
But she's the tangle
A
And as she went butterflying down
Dmaj7
She led on to strangle

[CHORUS]
Dmaj7
And he went diving diving down diving down diving down
A
Just to be deeper
Dmaj7
And he only took her money 'cause he thought that he
A
Could never really keep her

[VERSE 2]
A
This century will fall down we always thought it was a queen
Dmaj7
But it's just a crown
A
We thought she was caught up in a web
Dmaj7
But she's the tangle
A
As she went flying through the air
Dmaj7
He fell off at an angle
A
The legacy was burning bright she's living in a dream
Dmaj7
But she's all right
A
He thought she was dying of a scream
Dmaj7
But she's the screamer
A
And when she passed him on the end
Dmaj7
She smiled and he believed her

[CHORUS]
Dmaj7
And he went diving diving down diving down diving down
A
Just to be deeper
Dmaj7
And he only took her money 'cause he thought that he
A
Could never really keep her
