by Robert Earl Keen
Robert Earl Keen

Biografía:

Robert Earl Keen, Jr. (born January 11, 1956 in Houston, Texas) is an American singer-songwriter. Growing up, Keen was interested in music, sports, movies and writing. He attended Texas A&M University, enrolling in the school of journalism. Disappointed in the College Station, Texas music scene, he began playing guitar and learned to read and write music, basing his style on folk, country, blues and roots rock. In 1977 he rented a house from landlord Jack Boyett, where his neighbor was a then-unknown Lyle Lovett.

Couldn't find this one on here and its such a fun and easy song to play.
Even more fun if you throw a little twang into your singing!
I'm not much of a picker so you can try to do the intro.

It's in C. You can throw in an F here and there to get things going

Verse 1:
C F C
We were at the Rhythm room in Scottsdale Arizona
F G
it was in the summertime it must have been 02
C F C
we got there way too early and we sat around for hours
G C
we loaded in when the man came down and the smushball game was through

Verse 2:
C F C
You can fry an egg out there on a city sidewalk
F G
You can fry your bacon and and and and and
C F C
I understand why lizards live in sunny Arizona
G C
why people do and call it home ill never understand

Chorus:
F C
its hotter than a furnace fan out in Arizona
G F C
110 ain't nothin when you live out there you see
F C
stars come out they scream and shout hey its good to know u
G F C
if you're going there and you don't mind say hello for me

Verse 3:
C F C
Uncle Joe he lives out there in Phoenix Arizona
F G
He wears a cap that spells it out, "Hi, I'm Uncle Joe"
C F C
his kids in the restaurant biz so he bought us fourteen boxes
G C
of chicken strips and ranch-style dip and wings from buffalo

Chorus
F C
its hotter than a furnace fan out in Arizona
G F C
110 ain't nothin when you live out there you see
F C
the stars come out they scream and shout hey its good to know u
G F C
if you're going there and you don't mind say hello for me

Solo- same as chorus

Verse 4:
C F C
The room was small but the crowd turned out in Scottsdale Arizona
F G
they listened to the stuff we played and sometimes sang along
C F C
we finished up but they wanted more so we kept right on playing
G C
we played and stayed in the desert shade till we played up every song

Chorus
F C
its hotter than a furnace fan out in Arizona
G F C
110 ain't nothin when you live out there you see
F C
the stars come out they scream and shout hey its good to know u
G F C
if you're going there and you don't mind say hello for me

Refrain
G F C
if you're going there and you don't mind say hello for me
