Rai Thistlethwayte (nacido el 19 de Abril de 1980) es un músico, compositor y cantante Australiano. Rai es mejor conocido como la cara principal tras la banda Thirsty Merc. Se desempeña en ella como guitarrista, pianista y vocalista.
Antes de trabajar con Thirsty Merc él ya era bien conocido como pianista de Jazz, colaborando con Phil Stack, quien fuera uno de los mejores jazzistas con el bajo en toda Australia. Rai creció en el suburbio de West Pymble
