La historia de este disco comienza cuando James después de cinco años de giras continuas con los Shady Deal, decide volver a su casa en Missouri y grabar su primer proyecto en solitario de manera tranquila y relajada, dejando que las cosas fluyan plácidamente. Lo que comienza como un esfuerzo unipersonal, acaba convirtiéndose en una banda de viejos conocidos de la infancia, aparcando los egos e individualidades para concebir uno de los grandes discos de este año.
