Biografía:
El anuncio de Ian Masters para formar la banda pedía gente con interés en Eyeless in Gaza, Dead Can Dance, 13th Floor Elevators, The Misunderstood o Television, referencias que ayudan a explicar cómo su afinidad a Cocteau Twins, Galaxie 500 produjo más experimentación mayor que Ride, Slowdive o Lush. La primera vocalista de éstos, Meriel Barham, se mudó a Pale Saints a principios de 1990 dejando una influencia muy visible a partir del segundo disco, véase por ejemplo Thread of Light.
