Biografía:
Oren Lavie pasó su juventud en Israel. En 1997 su obra "Sticks and Wheels" y la producción de la misma se adjudicaron los principales premios en el "Acco Festival of Alternative Israeli Theatre".
En 1998 se trasladó a Londres para estudiar dirección de teatro en la London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Después de su graduación dos de sus obras, que ya contenían varias canciones escritas y compuestas por él, fueron producidas en diferentes teatros de Londres.
