Michael Penn (nacio el 1 de Agosto de 1958) en Greenwich Village, New York City.
Cantautor Americana, Hijo del actor/director Leo Penn y la actriz Eileen Ryan, y hermano de loas actores Sean Penn y Chris Penn.
Antes de su debut como cantante solo en 1989, Michael fue miembro de Los Angeles band Doll Congres, y apareció como extra en algunos programas de tv, como es St. Elsewhere.
Por muchos es considerado un artista "One Hit Wonderer" por tener un gran exito: "No Myth" de 1989.
