Biografía:
Nació en el seno de una familia acomodada. A los 8 años hizo su primera función y poco después decidió ser actriz. Estudió música, arte dramático y ópera en la Universidad de Yale. Tras finalizar sus estudios trabaja para el Theatre Repertory Company de Phoenix y pronto alcanza el éxito al ser nominada para el "Tony Award" y conseguir el "Outer Circle Award". Debuta en televisión con la serie Holocausto por la que fue premiada con el "Emmy" a la Mejor Actriz.
