Biografía:
Memory Tapes é um alter-ego de Dayve Hawk, líder da banda Hail Social. O primeiro LP da banda, "Seek Magic" foi lançado em setembro de 2009, com os selos Sincerely Yours, Acéphale e Something in Construction.
Hawk também lançou faixas e EPs sob os nomes Memory Cassette e Weird Tapes.
É conhecido por ser hesitante quanto a "touring", visto ter medo de aviões.
