Mario Biondi es un vocalista italiano (de Catania, Sicilia) que, simplemente escuchándolo, da la sensación de ser un cantante estadounidense, negro, de más de cincuenta años, y que acaba de atravesar el tunel del tiempo, como si viniera de las décadas de los 60 o 70. Su voz cálida y penetrante, preñada de soul, recuerda a la de los grandes del género, y quizá eso tenga mucho que ver (además de por lo buena que ha sido la genética con él)
