Multiple artists share the name Mainland.

1. Mainland is made up of four New York City transplants – by way of California and Upstate New York – who met each other at rooftop parties in the summer of 2010. They quickly formed a following around Manhattan and Brooklyn, ultimately getting profiled in the L Magazine’s noted “8 Bands You Need to Hear" issue, an annual cull of must-hear groups. Rolling Stone, French Elle, Consequence of Sound, and Interview Magazine have all since touted the group.
