Power Chords
To you folks who are afraid of barre chords, I am assuming you mostly play a flat top.
My advice is to get a set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky Pinks. If you have access to an
electric, all the better. Now play your power chords like this:
F: 1 3 3 2 x x, no barre, just press the "E" bass string with your first finger. This is
as easy as playing an E chord, believe me! The minor chords require a demi-barre, but
still really easy. Your aching left hand will thank you.
Fm: 1 3 3 1 x x,
F#, Gb: 2 4 4 3 x x
F#m, Gbm: 2 4 4 2 x x
G: 3 5 5 4 x x
