Biografía:
The Outfield es un grupo de rock pop británico de mediados de los 80s que tuvo sus inicios en el extremo oeste de Londres. Toman su nombre de un equipo de Baseball infantil.
El trío compuesto por Tony Lewis (cantante y bajista) John Spinks (guitarrista) y Alan Jackman (Bateria). Graban algunos demos llamando la atención de Columbia /CBS Records quienes los firman de inmediato grabando pronto su primer disco lanzado en 1985 ("Play Deep"). El disco fue un rotundo éxito ganando platino triple por sus altas ventas
