Biografía:
Stratovarius es una banda finlandesa de Power Metal, Timo Tolkki (ex-líder de la banda) consideraba al grupo como Heavy Metal Melódico, influenció a bandas como Sonata Arctica, entre otras.
Llamados inicialmente "Black Water", Stratovarius inicia su camino en 1984 con tres músicos finlandeses: Tuomo Lassila (Batería y voz); Jhon Vihervä (Bajo) y Staffan Strahlman (Guitarra), marcados por continuas deserciones e integraciones de miembros. A finales de 1984 el bajista John Vihervä deja la banda y es reemplazado por Jyrki Lentonen
