Biografía:
Sus integrantes son Dave Pirner (voz y guitarra), Dan Murphy (voz y guitarra), Karl Mueller (voz y bajo) y Grant Young (batería).
Soul Asylum empezó como una banda punk al estilo de los grupos de su ciudad natal como Replacements y Hüsker Dü. Con la inigualable mezcla del grupo de energía punk, ritmos de jazz, con tintes de country y sólidas composiciones, pronto se ganaron el título de la "mejor banda en vivo en América."
