Sonata Arctica es una banda de Power Metal proveniente de la ciudad de Kemi, Finlandia.
La banda fue fundada bajo el nombre de Tricky Beans y en sus inicios tocaban canciones fuertemente influidas por el género rock and roll, las cuales no tenían mucho que ver con su actual estilo, el Power Metal.
