Yann Tiersen nació el 23 de junio de 1970 en la ciudad de Brest, Francia. Durante su infancia cursó en diversos conservatorios de Rennes, Nantes y Boulogne entre otros. Estudió violonchelo, piano y más tarde composición, aunque no se limitó solamente a estos instrumentos ya que también posee gran técnica en el acordeón, el violín, y la guitarra eléctrica conviertiéndose en un multi-instrumentalista virtuoso.

After trying to figure it out, I see why:
It has many intricate and elusive guitar parts.
After sitting down with the guitar and playing it over,
I've found the chord progression as well as the guitar intro:
The intro starts with this guitar riff:

carefully to get the timing.
