The Roots son un influyente grupo de hip hop de Philadelphia, conocidos fundamentalmente por sus innovadoras letras y su potente directo. Han ganado peso, influencia y una excelente crítica en el mundo del hip-hop, el R&B y el neo soul con el paso del tiempo. Inspirados por el concepto de “hip hop band” fundado por Stetsasonic.
