Biografía:
Nació en Jarrow (Reino Unido). Cantante, compositor y guitarrista, el éxito que evocó su nombre con mayor fuerza fue Music, una balada rockera y sinfónica que produjo su amigo Alan Parsons. Su álbum debut se llamó Rebel, y en el se incluían otros de sus grandes éxitos Highfly, que salió antes, en 1975, publicado como un single en el Reino Unido. A mediados de la década de los 80, tras publicar Transition (1985), acompañó en varias de sus giras a The Alan Parsons Project, Jimmy Page, Tina Turner y Joe Cocker.
