Joey Scarbury (nacido el 7 de Junio de 1955) es un cantante mayormente conocido por su canción de más éxito, "Theme from Greatest American Hero (Believe It or Not)," lanzada en 1981 con la creación de la famosa serie de TV "El Gran Héroe Americano".
Scarbury creció en Thousand Oaks, California, y fue constantemente animado por su madre en su ambición por llegar a ser. A la edad de 14 años, tras haber sido probado por el padre del compositor Jimmy Webb, firmó un contrato discográfico y parecía estar destinado al estrellato.
