Biografía:
Una leyenda e icono musical en Australia, un desconocido en Europa. Nació 28 de Abril de 1956 en Glasgow, Escocia y cuando tenia cuatro años sus padres emigraron a Australia. Su nombre real es James Swan Dixon. Su padre era un boxeador llamado Jim Swan y su hermano mayor, John Swan también seria ,posteriormente, cantante de rock, siendo conocido como "Swanee", e integrante de Fraternity, la banda en la que cantaba Bon Scott .
El nombre definitivo de Jimmy Barnes lo obtuvo al adoptar como apellido el de su padrastro Reg Barnes.
