Jim Steinman cuyo nombre real es James Richard Steinman (nacido en Noviembre 1 de 1947, New York) es un productor, compositor y cantautor americano. Él es el responsable de éxitos musicales como "Total Eclipse Of The Heart", de Bonnie Tyler, "Making Love (Out Of Nothing At All), de Air Supply, y "I'd Do Anything for Love (but I Won't Do That)", de Meat Loaf (entre otros).
Empezó su carrera en teatro; su trabajo más notable es con las letras del musical "Whistle Down the Wind" y "Tanz der Vampire".
