Biografía:
Insomnium comenzó a tomar forma durante la sombría primavera de 1997. En la tranquila ciudad de Joensuu, Finlandia (Situada en la parte más oriental) , cuatro jóvenes fueron formando una feroz banda de metal. Desde el principio estaba claro que haría que esta banda de música que fue brutal y sin embargo melódico, lleno de contrastes y de la evolución de las atmósferas. Tomaron lo que consideraban como los mejores aspectos de sus bandas favoritas y moldeado estas influencias en un nuevo tipo de entidad.
