Biografía:
Ian Scott Anderson (nacido el 10 de agosto de 1947 en Dunfermline, Fife) es un cantante, compositor, flautista y guitarrista escocés, conocido por ser el líder de la banda de rock Jethro Tull
Como flautista, Anderson es autodidacta y su estilo fue inspirado por el también flautista Roland Kirk. Sobresalen sus solos en "My God" (Aqualung), Bursting Out y "Bouree" (Stand up). Además de la flauta, toca otros instrumentos (ha empleado, por ejemplo, el bajo en el álbum Stormwatch, de Jethro Tull).
