Firewater es una banda de rock indie fundada por Tod A. en 1995. El describe al grupo como "Una banda de bodas hechada a perder"
Despues de que Tod deja su anterior banda, Cop shoot Cop, forma Firewater para explorar los estilos de música que Cop shoot Cop apenas intento atisbar, como el klezmer, cabaret, ska, jazz, y formas del gypsy. Mas de una fuente ha describo la original alineación de Firewater como un "supergrupo Indie rock", basandose en el aporte de los otros miembros de la banda: Duane Denison de Jesus Lizard
