Faron Young nació el 25 de febrero de 1932 en Shreveport,L.A.
Apodado “The Singin’ Sheriff” por su afición a las armas y a coleccionar insignias policiales.
Se suicidó el 11 de diciembre de un tiro en la cabeza en Nashville.
