Biografía:
Elaine Paige, Bickerstaff de nacimiento, nació el 5 de Marzo de 1948 en Barnet, Hertfordshire y es una de las principales interpretes de obras musicales.
Paige inició su carrera profesional en el Reino Unido en el musical "The Roar of the Greasepaint—the Smell of the Crowd". Debutó en el West End de Londres con Hair y continuó con su participación en Jesucristo Superstar, Nuts, Grease, y Billy.
En 1978 Hal Prince le ofreció el papel de Evita en el musical de Tim Rice y Andrew Lloyd Webber cuando aún era una figura poco conocida.
