Biografía:
Death from Above 1979 son un dúo canadiense compuesto por Jesse F. Keeler a manos del bajo/sintetizador y Sebastien Grainger con la batería/voces. El grupo fue fundado en año 2002 originalmente con el nombre de Death from Above, pero después de una serie de problemas legales con el sello del mismo nombre, le añadieron 1979 en una especie de tributo a la película Apocalypse Now dirigida por Francis Ford Coppola.
Su primer disco You're a Woman I'm a Machine, fue un gran éxito canciones como Romantic Rights o Little Girl.
