[Verse]
Am A# C
I’ve seen the highs, i’ve hit the lows
Am A# C
You can’t surprise me, i’ve seen them coming, i’ve seen them go
Am A# C/E
But it feels like there’s something , a fire in the distance that won’t go out
Am A# C
It’s fast and it’s dangerous, a mystery running deep underground

Am A# C
I’ve loved and lost, i held the cross, i’ve seen it all
Am A# C
I wore the clothes, i hit the ropes and still i stood tall
Am A# C/E
And it feels like there’s someone who’s still waiting for me to come around
Am A# C
And i see your hands but it’s so hard to find your face in the crowd

[Chorus]
F A#
I wanna be there when the horses are running
C F A#
I wanna see your smiling face in the morning
C Am A#
I wanna be there when you wake up, wake up
C A#
I wanna hear you when you call me
F
Now will you call me?

[Verse]
A# C C/E
My hands are tired, my weary soul
F A# C C/E
The hard lessons, i took them in just to let them go
Am A# C
And it feels like i’m closer, a peasant parading next to the crown
Am A# C
And i’m touching the sky but i can’t seem to lift my feet of the ground

[Chorus]
F A#
I wanna be there when the horses are running
C F A#
I wanna see your smiling face in the morning
C Am A#
I wanna be there when you wake up, wake up
C A#
I wanna hear you when you call me

[Outro]
F A#
And there’s a sign on the wall
C F A#
They’re shooting flares just like a warning to my heart
C Am A#
No matter where these lights are heading
C A# C Dm F A# C
I will be following that ro - oh - oh - oh - oad Ahhhhh

F A# C
F A# C
Am A# C
A#

F A# C
Now will you call me, call me?
F A# C
Now will you call me, call me?
F A# C
Now will you call me, call me?
A#
I’m on that road

F A#
And now the horses are running
C F A#
I wanna see your smiling face in the morning
C Am A#
I wanna be there when you wake up, wake up
C A#
I wanna hear you when you call me (Oh will you call me?)

F A#
And there’s a sign on the wall
C F A#
They’re shooting flares just like a warning to my heart
C Am A#
No matter where these lights are heading
C A# C Dm F A#
I will be following that ro - oh - oh - oh - oad

C F Fadd9 Fmaj7

Am A# C
And it feels like there’s someone who’s still waiting for me to come around
Am A# C
And i see your hands but it’s so hard to find your face in the crowd
