A música de Dan Arborise surgiu pela primeira vez no verão de 2006, com o lançamento do seu álbum de estreia: 'Around In Circles'. Foi escrito numa antiga casa de campo na fronteira da Escócia, onde ele e a sua esposa plantavam produtos hortícolas para o sustento e colhiam lenha para aquecimento.
