Biografía:
Codeine Velvet Club es una banda de rock escocesa alternativo formada en 2008 por Lou Hickey y Juan Lawler (mejor conocido como Jon Fratelli), mientras que la banda principal de John, The Fratellis, estaban tomando un descanso antes de grabar su tercer álbum de estudio. Su álbum debut Codeine Velvet Club fue puesto en libertad el 28 de diciembre de 2009 en el Reino Unido y se prevé que un 06 de abril 2010 el lanzamiento en los EE.UU..
La banda lanzó su primer single el 23 de noviembre de 2009, titulada «Vanity Kills».
