Banda de rock originaria de Maryland, al este de U.S.A., formada por cinco músicos; Neil Fallon (voz, guitarra), Tim Sult (guitarra), Dan Maines (bajo), Jean Paul Gaster (batería) y Mick Schauer (órgano). Su estilo varía según los años de publicación de sus trabajos, desde los primeros tiempos en los que se identificaban más con el hardcore y el metal, pasando por estilos mas cercanos al hard rock, un gran toque stoner y pinceladas de southern rock
