Biografía:
Climax Blues Band (originalmente conocido como The Chicago Climax Blues Band )se formaron en Stafford, Inglaterra en 1968. Los miembros originales eran el guitarrista / vocalista Peter Haycock, el guitarrista Derek Holt; tecladista Arthur Madera bajista Richard Jones, el baterista George Newsome, y el vocalista y saxofonista Colin Cooper.
Entre 1970 y 1981 consiguió ingresar 9 albums en el chart pop de Billboard, el mayor de los cuales correspondió a "Gold Plated" que alcanzó el puesto N° 27 en 1977
